Obama Lies

The economy Dies

But apparently only Joe Wilson has the guts to call him on it.

I myself sent Mr. Wilson a thank you note.  Now, if only more of the men and women we elect would stand tall and proud and brave and tell the truth.  But I don’t really want to talk about politics today.

I don’t know what to fix for dinner.  I’m so uninspired.  It is too summertime for soups and stews and yummy casseroles or anything cooked all day in the crock pot.  It is not summertime enough for leafy green salads and sandwiches.  Frankly, my stomach is rumbling up a storm and I have no idea what to do about it.  I have a package of ground beef defrosting but *yuck* I cannot think of an interesting way to prepare it.  I don’t want hamburgers, cheeseburger macaroni, spaghetti, meatloaf, hamburger steak, tacos, burritos, stuffed peppers…see?  I’m really being quite difficult.  This has been happening for the past 2 weeks.  We had macaroni and cheese last night for dinner because neither Mr. T. nor myself wanted anything specific to eat but we were hungry.  This is a whole new realm of living for me.  I have to say I quite dislike it.

Typically I have several dinners planned out ahead of time based on tastes or flavors I’m inspired by plus tossing in getting a variety of meats and vegetables as well as being culturally diverse.

But not recently.  I have even tried the going to the store to be inspired route with no luck.  And it’s not that I want to eat out–I love my new kitchen and love cooking in it.  Sigh.  I have no idea.  I’m hoping a good blast of fall weather happens to open the door to warm comfort foods.

Tonight is still a problem though…
